What is a reinforced liquid roof repair?
A reinforced repair combines liquid waterproofing with separate fleece reinforcement across the repair area. The aim is to form a continuous local repair across the defect rather than relying only on a surface coating.
Where might a local liquid repair be considered?
Depending on substrate compatibility and condition, local liquid repairs may be considered around limited cracks, splits, laps, edges and other identifiable defects. The surrounding roof and deck need to remain sound and the actual leak source should be identified first.
Preparation matters
The repair area needs to be suitable, clean and correctly prepared. Where the system requires primer, apply the specified primer and allow it to reach the required condition before applying the repair. Exact compatibility, mixing, coverage, application and curing requirements depend on the materials supplied.
Coating only versus fleece reinforcement

When a local repair is not enough
Do not assume liquid repair is suitable for widespread deterioration, persistent structural movement, saturated construction, a soft or sagging deck or an unidentified leak. These conditions need further assessment.
