GRP roofs may develop problems at trims, joints, penetrations or local cracks. Movement, poor detailing and an unsuitable original installation can make a small visible crack part of a wider problem.

Questions before repair

• Is the crack isolated or repeated across the roof?
• Does the laminate feel firmly bonded?
• Are trims and wall junctions intact?
• Is water ponding because the roof lacks adequate falls?
